Mumbai, Maharashtra, October 4: The President of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), Arvind Prabhoo, praised India’s outstanding performance at the Bali Leg of the World Pickleball Championship, highlighting a significant moment for the country’s rise as a global contender in the sport.
Indian athletes had the chance to compete in this highly competitive international event, returning with several medals and solidifying India’s expanding presence on the world pickleball scene.
Leading the efforts were Isha Lakhani and Vanshik, who each won gold medals in the 35+ Women's Doubles and Men's Singles categories, respectively. Additionally, Vanshik and Tejas secured silver in the Men's Doubles, while Vrushali and Vanshik took home silver in the Mixed Doubles. In the highly competitive Team Event, Team India earned the prestigious gold medal, which included two men's doubles matches, one mixed doubles match, and one women's doubles match.
