Chennai (Tamil Nadu), August 30: The PBG Bengaluru Smashers will aim to strengthen their playoff prospects as they face the leading Ahmedabad SG Pipers in the Ultimate Table Tennis 2024 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday.
The match promises exciting clashes, including a potential showdown between top-ranked players Manika Batra (world no. 25) and Bernadette Szocs (world no. 13).
Later in the day, the defending champions Athlead Goa Challengers will seek to break into the top four as they compete against the Chennai Lions.
Currently third, the PBG Bengaluru Smashers have secured nine wins and 32 points from three matches. The Ahmedabad SG Pipers are also in contention with 24 points from three matches. The Athlead Goa Challengers have 21 points and a win against the Chennai Lions could elevate them into the top four.
